Stationary and Carriage Panel Cable Entry Layout

These reference drawings show how cables enter the Retro C stationary-side and carriage-side electrical panels through the Roxtec cable-transit area. Use them to identify a cable route before inspection or replacement.

Electrical safety: Work inside either electrical panel must be performed by qualified personnel using lockout/tagout. Verify the absence of hazardous voltage before tracing or moving a cable.

Identify a cable

  1. Determine whether the affected device belongs to the stationary side or carriage side.
  2. Use the machine schematic, wire number, cable label, and terminal destination together. Do not identify a conductor by color alone.
  3. Trace the cable from its field device to the Roxtec entry and then to the documented panel terminal.
  4. Photograph and label the existing route before disconnecting anything.
  5. Confirm that the cable is not confused with an adjacent power, encoder, Ethernet, or VFD cable.

Replacement and sealing checks

  • Route the replacement through the same documented entry unless Enventek Support specifies otherwise.
  • Maintain separation and bend radius required for the cable type.
  • Secure the cable so carriage movement cannot pull on a terminal or connector.
  • Reassemble the Roxtec modules correctly so the transit supports and seals around every cable.
  • Remove unused temporary openings and confirm that no sharp edge can damage insulation.

Verification

After termination, tug-test connections, close the panel, and restore power using the approved procedure. Confirm the affected device operates correctly through the required movement. Inspect the cable route again while the carriage moves at a controlled speed.
