Check the Conveyor Marker

Before You Begin

Safety: Stop the machine, follow the site lockout/tagout procedure, verify that hazardous energy is controlled, and release or secure stored mechanical and pneumatic energy before opening a panel, removing a guard, or adjusting components. Electrical work must be performed by a qualified technician.

The Material feed conveyors which feed lumber through the saw must be parallel to each other.

A way to check that is to take a piece of lumber an run it until the lumber enters the saw before the blades.

Once in that location stop the saw and put a vertical mark on the board on the stationary side of the saw next to the dog. Do the same for the carriage side of the saw.

After that is completed run the material feed until the lumber is on the far end of the saw just prior to it falling out of the saw. The marks should stay next to the dog and not travel.

If the marks travel farther or closer the conveyors may be out of square.

See the attached PDF for a visual representation.

Confirm the Result

After restoring the machine through the approved startup procedure, confirm that the position or count changes in the correct direction, returns consistently, and reaches the commanded value without an encoder, calibration, or overrun warning.

If the issue remains, record the exact on-screen message, affected component, indicator-light state, and the last change made. Provide those details to Enventek Technical Support; do not repeatedly recalibrate or replace parts without identifying the cause.
