Scrap Belt Sweeper
Updated
Sweeper for the scrap belt
The sweeper is located under the carriage side of the saw, it is a angled bracket with plastic on it. The sweeper’s purpose is to remove the dust from the inside of the belt before returns to the top side.
Adjusting the sweeper is simple, the plastic needs to rub against the inside of the belt at the appropriate angle to push off any debris that could potentially damage the belt when it goes around a roller. At times small chips of lumber can be pulled to the bottom side of the belt and those must be removed before the belt returns to the top side of the conveyor and causes damage to the belt.
There are two 3/4” bolts to loosen the sweeper and move it up or down in the slots to the appropriate position.
