Recalibrate the Touchscreen

Overview

If the Retro C screen reacts to a touch away from where your finger is, or the pointer sits off to one side, recalibrate the touchscreen. The Calibrate Touchscreen button is on the System Settings (factory only) screen, which is protected by an access code.

Before You Begin

  • Stop cutting and let the saw finish any move. Calibration does not move the saw.
  • You need the access code for System Settings (factory only). Ask your supervisor or Enventek Technical Support. Keep the code to trained supervisors and maintenance staff.
  • If the pointer is flipped or mirrored (it moves left when you touch right), use Touchscreen Pointer Is Flipped or Mirrored instead.

Procedure

  1. Touch the Repair tab.

  1. Touch the System Settings (factory only) sub-tab. It shows a padlock. Scroll the sub-tab row if you cannot see it.

  1. A keypad appears with Enter your code. Type the access code and touch Accept. If the code is wrong, nothing happens; touch the tab and try again.
  2. Touch Calibrate Touchscreen.

Step 4: Calibrate Touchscreen.
  1. A question asks whether you want to recalibrate the touchscreen. Touch Yes.

Step 5: confirm.
  1. A red cross appears near a corner of the screen. Touch the exact center of the cross with a fingertip. Repeat for each cross as it appears (four in all). The calibration is saved when the last cross is touched.

Step 6: touch the center of each cross.
  1. Lock the tab again: touch the open System Settings (factory only) tab a second time and answer yes to Do you want to lock tab?

Confirm the Result

Touch several buttons in different corners of the screen, such as the tabs at the bottom and the Clear Stats button. Each one should respond where your finger touches it.
