Conveyor Marker Check
UpdatedFebruary 21, 2024
The Material feed conveyors which feed lumber through the saw must be parallel to each other.
A way to check that is to take a piece of lumber an run it until the lumber enters the saw before the blades.
Once in that location stop the saw and put a vertical mark on the board on the stationary side of the saw next to the dog. Do the same for the carriage side of the saw.
After that is completed run the material feed until the lumber is on the far end of the saw just prior to it falling out of the saw. The marks should stay next to the dog and not travel.
If the marks travel farther or closer the conveyors may be out of square.
