Program a Replacement CFW Drive
Use this procedure after installing a replacement WEG CFW drive. The drive number must be programmed before the Retro C can initialize and control the correct saw head or axis.
Safety: VFD installation and wiring must be completed by a qualified technician with power locked out and verified off. This article begins after the replacement drive has been installed and its wiring has been checked.

Assign the Drive Number
- On the drive keypad, press Enter once.
- Use the down arrow to select NET, then press Enter.
- Use the arrow buttons to select parameter 308, then press Enter.
- Enter the ID that corresponds to the blade position:
- Blade 1: 1
- Blade 2: 2
- Blade 3: 17
- Blade 4: 18
- Blade 5: 19
- Press Enter to save the drive number. Reopen parameter 308 and confirm that the value was retained.
Initialize the Drive
- Open the Repair tab on the Retro C touchscreen.
- Select the saw head or axis where the replacement drive was installed, then press Calibrate.
- Open the VFD tab and press Init once.
What Correct Looks Like
Confirm that the drive initializes without a disconnected-drive warning. With the machine clear and all guards in place, command a controlled movement and verify that the selected head or axis—not another device—responds. Stop and contact Enventek Technical Support if the wrong device moves, the drive number will not save, or a fault remains on the drive.
