How to: Program an Automation Direct GS23 VFD
These are the setting you have to manually program into every VFD to get it to communicate with the saw.
NOTE: if you are upgrading from an older GS1 or GS3 to the newer GS23 the software has to have settings changed – that will require a phone call to technical support
Step 1 – Press the “Enter” button once – you should see: 00
Step 2 – Use the up/down arrows to get to 09 – Press Enter – you should now see 09.00
Step 3 – Press Enter – Now you see “1” – use the up/down arrows to punch in the drive number – There is always a sticker with DR1 or DR2 or DR18 that will identify which drive you are working on. Put that number here and press enter – In the picture below DR4 is shown – so you would put “4” in and press enter

Step 4 – Navigate to 09.01 change the default value from 9.6 to 19.2 – Press enter
Step 5 – Navigate to 09.04 change the default value from 15 to 14 – Press enter
Done
Restart the saw and all of the specific settings for that vfd will be uploaded to the VFD upon software restart
