Adjust Linear PickLine Conveyor C Start Timing

Conveyor C is the Linear PickLine incline conveyor. On systems without a kicker, its start point is controlled by the Conveyor L value in loaderappconfig.xml. The standard value is 3840.

Software configuration: This change should be made by Enventek Support or a technician familiar with the PickLine configuration. Back up the file and record the original value before editing it.

Applicability

  • PickLines without a kicker use the Conveyor L distance value.
  • When a kicker is installed, lengthL remains 0; do not use this procedure to correct kicker timing.
  • Fix encoder-counting or board-detection problems before changing timing. A timing value cannot compensate for unreliable tracking.

Calculate the change

The setting is measured in sixteenths of an inch. There are 192 counts per foot. Lowering the value starts Conveyor C sooner; raising it starts the conveyor later.

  • Example: 3840 − 192 = 3648, which starts Conveyor C approximately one foot sooner.
  • Make one measured change at a time and avoid large trial-and-error adjustments.

Edit the value

  1. Open a terminal and navigate to loaderappconfig.xml.
  2. Create a backup copy and record its location.
  3. Locate the Conveyor L value shown below.
  4. Enter the calculated value without changing adjacent settings.
  5. Save the file and check for accidental formatting or duplicate-entry changes.

Restart and verify

  1. Restart the PickLine software so the configuration is reloaded.
  2. Run a single known-length board and observe where Conveyor C begins moving.
  3. Confirm that the board transfers cleanly without an early collision, late gap, or tracking loss.
  4. Test several board lengths before returning to automatic production.
  5. If the change has the wrong effect, restore the recorded value or backup and contact Enventek Support.
