30°/60°/90° Cut Geometry Reference

This diagram illustrates the relationship between 30°, 60°, and 90° cut surfaces. Use it as a visual reference when checking angle calibration, pivot-point accuracy, and how complementary cuts meet on a test board.

How to use the reference

  • The 90° surface provides the square reference face.
  • The 30° and 60° cuts are complementary; together they form the diagonal relationship shown in the diagram.
  • A properly calibrated test should produce clean, consistent cut faces that meet without a visible step, twist, or widening gap.
  • Judge the result from straight, undamaged lumber and a clean blade cut. A warped board can resemble a calibration error.

If the geometry does not match

  1. Repeat the test with a suitable board to confirm that the result is repeatable.
  2. Identify which saw head and angle produced the offset.
  3. Photograph the complete test piece and close-ups of the reference faces.
  4. Check for blade condition, loose material, centerline error, or pivot-point error before changing angle calibration.
  5. Use Pivot Point Calibration Check when the 30° and 60° reference lines do not align.
  6. Contact Enventek Support before making repeated calibration changes.
