Configure the Scrap or Incline Conveyor to Always Run
UpdatedFebruary 21, 2024
Step 1: Go to the VFD that controls the Scrap Conveyor (DR30) or the Scrap Incline (DR31), both are located in the scrap enclosure and take the front plastic cover off. Use a single strand of ethernet wire (color doesn’t matter) to connect the “DCM” terminal to the “FWD” terminal.
Step 2: On the VFD change these settings using the keypad
- Press Enter:
- Select: 00
- Press Enter
- Select 00.20
- Press Enter:
- Select: 0
- Press Enter
- Press Menu
- Select 00.21
- Press Enter
- Select: 1
- Press Enter
- Press Menu
- Select 00.22
- Press Enter
- Select: 1
- Press Enter
Step 3: Using the Up and Down arrow keys on the keypad select anything from 0 to 60. 0=no movement , 60= Full speed
We would suggest adding a switch between DCM and FWD in order to turn the conveyor on and off as need. The switch can be drilled into the scrap enclosure.
